Those of us at Cardox who work or coordinate projects have a great degree of responsibility to conduct ourselves in a professional manner. We give the utmost consideration to the awesome effect that accidents have on life and property. That responsibility extends to ourselves, our customers, our colleagues, and the general public. First and foremost, we will always keep safety in mind. This extends to the safety of others around us as well as to the safety of our own people. We are committed to using our knowledge and skills towards the enhancement of human welfare. We will exhibit honest and responsible behavior in our communications with people around us who will be directly affected by our activities. Furthermore, we will strive to constantly upgrade our professional skills and competence through the education of ourselves and our employees. We are active within industry associations and professional societies and continually make ourselves aware of the accepted safety standards and proper work practices as they change and improve with time. We are diligent in our participation in these safety practices and always intolerant of unsafe and unethical behavior when we see it.
We will carry these practices with us wherever we may travel, and we will be as professional as we can possibly be in the performance of our work. With this commitment anchored in mind and heart, we will go about our jobs and perform them as safely and responsibly in the future as we have in the past.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT (OHSE) REGULATIONS

• It is the policy of Cardox to secure the health and safety of all personnel (own, and our Client's) as well as the integrity and reliability of all property and equipment, and it is Cardox’s aim to secure continuous improvements in environmental performance and the prevention of pollution. Hence, Cardox also recognizes its responsibility and accountability for the protection of all employees and preservation of our Client ’s property and equipment as well as the environmental improvement.

• To comply with this policy, Cardox will use properly qualified personnel and incorporate safeguards, rules and procedures which will minimize the risk of any personal injury to our Client’s people and loss of, or damage to, our Client’s property and equipment during the performance of the service provided. In addition, Cardox is committed to minimising any adverse environmental effects caused as a result of its activities or products.

• Cardox's personnel will comply with the local laws on OHSE and our Client’s established OHSE rules, practices and procedures, use OHSE equipment, tools and any devices that are required/provided, and conduct ourselves in a way which assures the health and safety of themselves, our fellow employees and or any other persons.

• Cardox commits itself to consider the environmental impacts of its products at all stages of its life cycle: from design to manufacturing, customer use and finally disposal to comply with the current environmental laws.  Cardox will provide products and packaging that, when disposed of, will not adversely impact the environment; minimise waste by recycling, recovery or reuse; reduce or eliminate the use of materials that adversely affect the environment; and work constructively with our Client to resolve mutual environmental concerns.

• Cardox's personnel are responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace where all hazards, unsafe acts and or conditions are identified and analyzed before being controlled or eliminated. Cardox will document this in (mandatory) health and safety program.

• When working, all Cardox's personnel will conduct themselves in accordance with the existing local laws on OHSE and our Client’s OHSE standards, including having a proper OHSE plan for the work, work instructions, training and testing as needed, inspection and audit programs as well as recording and reporting of all accidents, unsafe actions and or conditions.

• Cardox represents and warrants to our Clients that we have accident/workers compensation insurance, as well as liability cover in compliance with the local laws.  Cardox is responsible to enforce the safe performance of the work including the safety of its employees, agents, subcontractors, and employees of subcontractors, and further in support thereof. Cardox requires all of its employees, agents, subcontractors, and employees of subcontractors to become acquainted with and observe all safety instruction of our Client's representative.

The 5 Cardox Cardinal Rules are:

1. Do not override or interfere with any safety provision, nor allow anyone else to override or interfere with them, regardless of their relative seniority to yourself.
   
   
2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) rules, applicable to a given task, must be adhered to at all times.
   
   
3. Isolation and Lock Out Procedures must always be followed.
   
   
4. No person may work if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
   
   
5. All injuries & incidents must be reported.
